Stallington Residents Association Takes Positive Action

Perhaps ironic that it was April 1st, but this was the pre-arranged date for the cleaning up of the communal areas in and around Stallington Village.

Soaked but happy SRA members assembled in the driving rain for a photo-call

Hardened members of Stallington Residents Association (left to right - Rosie Patterson, Paula Thomas, Steve Thomas, Barbara Stockley - SRA Treasurer, Parish Councillor Tim Beasley & John Stockley - SRA Secretary ... assisted by Natasha Bryant and Matthew Ball) gathered armed with an array of manual and power tools, bins and even a small skip (kindly donated by Persimmon Homes).

Through bouts of rain, warm sunshine and hailstorms the team battled on without flinching ... all the time keeping their eye on the common goal of ridding the verges/play areas from litter, and trimming up the hedge-rows.

Barbara Stockley (SRA Treasurer) exclaimed "I'm really pleased with the results we've achieved today. It's been hard work, but a true team effort".

So, the next time you want to dispose of your litter out of the window in the village of Stallington, please don't, take it home instead.
