Police Call

We are currently experiencing an increase of Burglary and Thefts from vehicles in the area. The common link between the majority of these incidents is that the houses, garages and vehicles have been left insecure.

Residents should make sure they check that their homes, outbuildings and vehicles are secure before leaving them or retiring for the night. Please ensure that keys, wallets and purses are not left on window shelves of homes and no valuables are on display in vehicles.

If anyone sights any suspicious vehicles or persons they should contact the police via the new 101 number (which replaces 0300 123 4455) such that the team can develop the information.

PLAY FACILITIES ON GRINDLEY PARK

The Parish Council has been successful in gaining grant aid towards the play facilities. Work commenced on site during July and is now complete.

The new Adventure Playground for young children is in full use. There is also a Multi Sports Wall for older children adjacent to the football pitch on the top end of the park.

For those who have not visited Grindley Park, it is accessed off Grindley Lane, Meir Heath, a short distance down from the mini roundabouts.
