Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the above appointment for a large Parish covering Fulford, Meir Heath, Rough Close and part of Blythe Bridge.

Ideally, the Council is seeking a person with a knowledge of Local Government and, in addition, excellent communication skills who will be responsible for the full range of functions including accounts, PAYE, preparation of Agenda and Minutes and the implementation of the Council’s instructions and policies.  Good computer skills are essential.  The successful applicant will be required to attend all Council and Committee meetings which are normally held in the evenings.

The appointment is part-time, the Clerk being required to be present in the Parish Office at Meir Heath for a minimum of three hours per day (Monday to Wednesday) and a further 9 hours per week will be paid to recognise other duties necessary including attendance at evening meetings. Salary will be in accordance with the agreed national scale LC2 (scale £23866 - £30756 pro rata) depending on experience and qualifications.
