The County Council will continue to cut grass verges mainly outside of the main settlements and of course the Borough Council and Stafford and Rural Homes retain responsibility for some other areas of the parish. Details of the areas the Parish Council has now taken from the County Council are set out in the table and maps showing precisely the areas outlined are available to view at the parish office. New Houses - Where Could They Go?Stafford Borough Council has prepared a plan to establish where new housing development could be located in the Borough by 2026. Each Council has been given a target number of houses which they must accommodate in their plans, but at this stage no decisions have been taken about where the new homes will be built. To make these decisions they need to gather information on all potential areas where new houses could be built in the future.
The Borough Council's results from these consultations are contained in Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment.
Proposed quarry at Fulford Dale & Moddershall GrangeCemex UK made an application to be considered by Staffordshire County Council in its Core Minerals Strategy to open a sand and gravel quarry on the areas shown on the map below. The site totals 96 hectares and quarry operations would last approximately 24 years, extracting a total of 750,000 tonnes of product. Subsequently this application was amended limited to the Moddershall Grange site.
